Cincinnati CPA Firm Changes Name After Partner Retires

The firm formerly known as Burke & Schindler is now Burke CPAs & Advisors, after Gene Schindler retired a year ago.

As the firm celebrates its 40th anniversary, Cincinnati-based accounting firm Burke & Schindler changed its name on July 1 to Burke CPAs & Advisors a year after the retirement of one of its partners.

Cincinnati Business Courier reported:

[T]he East End-based CPA firm celebrates 40 years since its humble beginnings when Pat Burke launched it in Hyde Park.

The firm, located at Adams Landing, changed its name to Burke CPAs & Advisors as of July 1. It made the move a year after Burke’s business partner, Gene Schindler, retired.

“People were trying to coax me into rebranding and the trend is toward using just one name,” Burke said.

Pat Burke told the publication he has no plans to retire anytime soon. His son, Jake, also is a partner in the firm, and Pam Conner is the third partner.

The new name reflects the variety of advisory services the firm provides clients in addition to accounting services.

Burke CPA & Advisors is Greater Cincinnati’s 21st-largest accounting firm, according to Cincinatti Business Courier research, with 18 CPAs and 47 employees. It has three offices, with locations in Fort Mitchell and Richmond in addition to its main office.
